What about wipes?
Many moms also use cloth wipes with their cloth diapers. It's so much easier to throw the diapers and wipes in one bin than to separate them and put the wipes in the garbage. Plus, cloth wipes are softer on baby's skin, and don't have all the junk in them that disposables have. Disposable wipes are the cause of some diaper rashes. Many WAHMs also have cloth wipes for sale. In HE washers, disposable wipes slowly fall apart and can clog pumps and filters.
Some families choose to leave their wipes dry and wet them as they need them. This works well and prevents mold from forming in the wet wipes container. Some families choose to use a small plastic tub or empty disposable wipes container and soak as many wipes as they'll usw in a couple of days. This works well too and always keeps wet wipes handy. Using Tea Tree Oil in the wipes solution will keep it fresher longer as it is a natural antibacterial oil. My personal wipes solution consists of 3 C. water, 6 drops TTO, 12 drops Lavender essential oil, 6 drops Vitamin E oil, 20-30 drops GSE, 1/8 to 1/4 C aloe vera gel, and a couple squirts of baby soap. I wet enough wipes to fill a disposable wipes container and refill that every few days.
A few sites have made making baby wipes solution very easy! They sell tiny bits that look like a soap, but you just put it in warm water and it dissolves... creating a wonderful wipes solution. Here's a few links:

What do I use as wipes?
My favorite baby wipes are the baby washcloths that I got so many of at baby showers. The baby terry is perfect for being soft yet scrubby enough to clean. When I learned how to sew, I backed them all with flannel. You can easily make your own wipes. Common sizes are 8"x8" or 4.5"x8". You can serge the edges or sew them inside out then turn and topstitch. Many fabrics will work, experiment to see what you like best. Most online diaper shops sell wipes too, either their own or brand name ones.

When baby is learning to use the potty, cloth wipes make a great alternative to toilet paper. They don't get unrolled onto the floor, and using just one is easier to remember than counting squares of TP. Cloth wipes are easier for little hands to use, and if slightly wet it makes cleaning themselves easier for little learners. You may find they work so well that the whole family uses them!
